Abu Dhabi: The balmy Abu Dhabi weather might be perfect for that famed red bathing suit, but Baywatch star Pamela Anderson was in the capital last night on a life saving mission of a very different kind.

Here to support the Make A Wish Foundation, a charity that grants wishes to gravely-ill children, Anderson - a mother of two - told a press conference that she’s been actively involved with the cause since days when she made a living running along a Malibu beach.

New York Times - The Worst Way of Farming

In the past month, two new reports have examined how farm animals are raised in this country. The report funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts calls the prevailing system “industrial farm animal production.” The report from the Union of Concerned Scientists prefers the term “confined animal feeding operations.”

The astonishing increase in the number and size of confined animal operations has been spawned largely by the very structure of American …

Before that, though, he did have a jab or two for his potential successors.

“I have to say I’m kind of surprised we don’t have more presidential candidates here tonight. Like, any. Sen. (John) McCain’s not here, he probably wanted to distance himself from me a little bit,” joked Bush about the presumptive Republican nominee.

“The two Democratic candidates aren’t here either,” he …
