Recommended reading to Mr. President Elect Obama from Pamela Anderson-:
*The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein
*Crimes Against Nature by Robert Kennedy
Dear Mr. Obama:
My thoughts/hopeful ideas-:
-Free Leonard Peltier- This injustice is just breeding Hate and discrimination. It would be very meaning ful to the Native American people and all of us ho have watched and been saddened by a broken system
(There are too many people in jail that don’t need to be there-it IS a broken system- that enrages more people than it helps) - not saying that there aren’t people who need to be jailed while determining their fate- but Jail should be a holding cell for justice and not a lifelong waste of taxpayers money to run a spa for criminals-how does this improve society? Especially when there are real threats to our most precious citizens -our children- in most cases child molesters are walking free. Government must Castrate every molester-or potential molester- error on the safe side- if any child pornography is found in anyone’s possession-or anyone creating such atrocities-or if any child Is brave enough to come forward (at any young age to bring attention to a potential molester- listen) they need to be taken very seriously and see that justice is served-The abuse is way worse than any trial could be- our children need more protection and justice seen. It needs to be PREVENTED not just punished.
I think we should Legalize Marijuana, tax and monitor -farm Hemp etc-this would make our borders less corrupt and then I think eventually this will be more secure option and save children in the long run – we should be able to farm Hemp in America- it’s just silly— it would create jobs- and be good for environment.
Bring our Troops home safely- Stop the killing and work with Veterans to secure a peaceful way world wide-using their 1st hand wisdom lovingly across all borders together. It is not a war Economy anymore- obviously-
Stop all these garbage, wasteful and ineffective ,ancient animal tests (from 80 years ago?)- create a REAL working dedicated and active group of people assigned to this issue- science is suppose to be progressive? We need to get with it- update like Europe has – it’s an embarrassment and nobody wishes this senseless cruelty to go on.
Please get rid of this private insurance and private health care system- it’s corrupt and doesn’t work-
Government should take over both those areas- supplying secure government jobs where people are dedicated to their job and it is a proven system- Canada etc- supplying proper insurance to everyone – It’s much easier and government should supply these services for the taxes we pay- we would all be protected- pharmaceuticals would be affordable- to those that need it/especially our elderly- see that everyone has car insurance (there should not be an uninsured driver on the road) and health insurance- the same for everyone- isn’t this what we pay taxes for?
Promote vegetarianism-which would help end world hunger- crack down on factory farming that is killing the environment and slaughtering so many animals- wastefully and carelessly and it’s unhealthy/and it’s just impractical- to think this is monitored/regulated effectively..
Please Shut down Guantanamo Bay-figure it out- make amends/stop torture- it’s time for peaceful solutions- and cooperation world wide sharing resources and protecting each other- education, missionary work- bring the world together help each other- with resources now- its considered a very small place- We are each other’s keeper no matter what side of the border we were born-nobody is less than.
And if people are hard working why cant they work and pay taxes in America- if they have no criminal record- why do we have illegal immigration it should be made easier for …

“44 ways to show kids you care”…
(From an incredible book I’m reading now -“Anger and the Indigo Child
” by Dianne Lancaster (all the books on “Indigo children” are wonderful by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober –insight into our very cool generation of kids- strong willed and compassionate,(sometimes difficult) ,important and strong future citizens).
- Say the word “LOVE “ a lot.
- Be careful not to criticize simply tell them a better way.
- If you withdraw your attention, avoid withdrawing your love.
- Teach the principles of “why”, not just “what” to do or not to do.
- Discipline with love, especially if you are angry. If you “punish” or “take away,” do so with love and follow up with love.
- Remember children often reflect what they have or have not been taught. They often need to be taught, not punished.
- Teach children to trust the truth by experiencing you as a model of loving them for telling the truth.
- Be patient, not just tolerant.
- Ask them what they need from you and do whatever you can to meet those needs.
- When you are stressed and unavailable, help them know that your condition is about your life, and not them, and reaffirm your love.
- Remember that children often need love the most when they “deserve” it the least.
- Listen to them, a lot. Avoid interrupting.
- Help them to learn the feeling of regret, not just to say they are sorry.
- Apologize when you make a mistake or do something you regret.
- Teach them about ethics and values and principles they can apply in choices and decision-making.
- Never make fun of them, shame them or blame them. It’s not their “fault.” It’s an indication of what they need, or what they need to learn, or what they need to unlearn.
- Tell them how much you like being with them, if you mean it. If you don’t, examine what about the relationship dynamics at that moment or in general affects your not feeling that way. Then find a way to change that from within yourself.
- Expect and support their best; don’t expect or require perfection. Set standards based on their capacities, not your (often unrealistic) needs.
- Avoid comparing them to anyone else; instead, help them develop their unique self and way of being.
- Know they will respect what you say if they respect who you are.
- Encourage them to share and teach them to share but don’t make them share. If they feel enough love in their life they will be able to share; if they cannot share, it means they need to feel more love.
- Hug and touch them often when they are young. Hug and touch them often as possible as they mature. Avoid commands like “come give me a hug”. Instead say, “I would like to hug. Would you like to hug?” The command is based on the adult’s need. The option is contingent on the child’s need.
- Help them learn the feeling of gratitude, not just to say thank you. Love is the emotion that sustains positive change. Anger is the emotion that sabotages positive change.
- Give them space when they need it.
- Praise more and criticize less.
- Know that a child is experiencing love will express love. A child who does not act loving needs to experience more love and feel more loved. Until then, behavior changes you attempt may not be sustainable.
- Help them learn how and why to save money.
- Avoid …

I can’t wait to pay taxes when OBAMA is elected! Government SHOULD supply services that work and make our country better- including education, maintaining roadways and better healthcare for everyone -I’d be happy to share in my good fortune with a government that works for ALL the people.
It would be my pleasure.
Truth is people at the TOP (big companies etc) have people to help them pay as little taxes as possible. It’s the person without a business manager or accountant that may need more help.
I think Obama is a godsend. He is brilliant. And will supply tax breaks for people that create jobs here in America, make things here in America
For example,
I’m in process of developing a line of 100 percent natural, green, conflict free, cruelty free -made in America products. But I’ll tell you-the hardest part and the most expensive part has been trying to keep things made in America!
I’ve gone through manufacturers and manufacturers that insist on making my cruelty free beach boots in China. The difference in cost is huge: the cost for me would be 10 dollars a pair of boots in China or 100 dollars a pair in America!- I’m sticking to my philosophy. This isn’t about money it’s about principal. It’s a huge difference financially- big and small companies outsource because of the this-not to mention the possible effects on environment – promises, promises- People have even refused to work with me because of this (they don’t see enough money in the effort)-
My goal when I started out 5 years ago-was to just make sure every Malibu mom had a pair of cruelty free beach boots to wear to school to drop their kids off or on the beach- I kind of started trend- unfortunately with wearing boots that were made of animal skin- I want to do what I can to ensure there is an option.. BUT In working on this project for years now -I’ve realized so much more- it goes deeper and deeper-
Even now in developing my sun care body oil line- 100 percent natural, made locally-. I’m considering ingredients received through Free trade etc… (Still pursuing-maybe I can use just local ingredients) .
It’s a lot harder to do things right.
Obama is going to make things less hard. And anyone I know that has been as blessed as I have -coming from a very poor background- working very hard and making a life for my children I never had -With integrity- not matter what “Grace and Dignity”-lots of mistakes , (sometimes public humiliation builds character-)- but always with Integrity and Good Intentions, even coming from another country. I ABSOLUTELY wants to give back- America is the dream. And the example. And the goal: to do the right thing when no one’s looking. To look past prejudices and preconceptions about people- let’s support each other by doing the right thing.
For our children if nothing else. And as time goes on let’s hope our hope is infectious and spreads across the world so we can share in resources and a healthy planet together.
Obama MUST be President.!!!!!!! Out with the old- in with the new. Let’s do this! VOTE it’s the most important next step. and its just the start.

Out of bad ……comes good. I think this is an exciting wake up call. A lot of New ways of doing things are about to happen. People are thinking…not just existing in a habit that didn’t make sense. This forces us to Change.
I think it has a lot to do with educating our children correctly. To lift these gifted kids and support their idiosincrities and there uniqueness and have them be educated in a way that can and will educates adults. So many kids I think are gifted. They don’t have ADD or these other labels. They are difficult for good reason-
To be Nobody-but Yourself is a fulltime job. How can we educate these kids and even adults where it is a support system and not a stifling situation. We have so much talent born naturally into us. And a bad teacher or bad boyfriend or girlfriend can block our true potential/simply- . The kids that are loud need to be heard. They stand out for a reason. I want to know what it is they want to share. Not to shut up…and blend in- I think e. e. Cummings said it best Oct 26th, 1955;
To be Nobody-But-Yourself
Almost anybody Can learn to think or believe or know,
But not a single human being Can taught to feel.
Why?
Because whenever you think or you believe or you know, You are a lot of other people:
But the moment you feel
You are nobody-but-yourself
In a world which is doing it’s best Night and day
To make you everybody else
Means to fight the hardest battle Which any human being can fight And Never stop fighting.
The person who could fix our economic problems or our automobile or energy issues may not be in a business suit. Who are they? where are they?- we must start looking- and be open to new ways of learning and teaching. In a compassionate, non greedy, healthy way we can make the future better- without ego . With shared information world wide. It makes sense.

French film legend-turned-activist Brigitte Bardot took a swipe at Sarah Palin on Tuesday, saying the US vice presidential candidate was a disgrace to women.
“I hope you lose these elections because that would be a victory for the world,” Bardot wrote in an open letter to Republican John McCain’s running mate in the November vote.
“By denying the responsibility of man in global warming, by advocating gun rights and making statements that are disconcertingly stupid, you are a disgrace to women and you alone represent a terrible threat, a true environmental catastrophe,” wrote Bardot.
The screen icon from the 1960s, who now heads an animal rights foundation, went on to assail Palin for supporting Arctic oil exploration that could jeopardize delicate animal habitats and for dismissing measures to protect polar bears.
“This shows your total lack of responsibility, your inability to protect or simply respect animal life,” Bardot wrote.
In a final salvo against Palin, the 74-year-old ex-star picked up on Palin’s depiction of herself as a pitbull wearing lipstick and said she “implored” her not to compare herself to dogs.
“I know them well and I can assure you that no pitbull, no dog, nor any other animal for that matter is as dangerous as you are,” Bardot wrote.

In the words of Naomi Klein:
“Whatever the events of this week mean, nobody should believe the overblown claims that the market crisis signals the death of “free market” ideology. Free market ideology has always been a servant to the interests of capital, and its presence ebbs and flows depending on its usefulness to those interests.
During boom times, it’s profitable to preach laissez faire, because an absentee government allows speculative bubbles to inflate. When those bubbles burst, the ideology becomes a hindrance, and it goes dormant while big government rides to the rescue. But rest assured: the ideology will come roaring back when the bailouts are done. The massive debts the public is accumulating to bail out the speculators will then become part of a global budget crisis that will be the rationalization for deep cuts to social programs, and for a renewed push to privatize what is left of the public sector. We will also be told that our hopes for a green future are, sadly, too costly.”

I’ve been a fan of Naomi Klein (fellow Canadian) I’ve read - NO LOGO and I’m reading her new book- THE SHOCK DOCTRINE - I’m also watching a film she was involved in called THE TAKE - tonight- She and another favorite of mine-Naomi Wolff (THE BEAUTY MYTH ) are fantastic, insightful food for thought/people authors, minds_- to say the least- I’ve always loved politics or fascinated anyway- The world is our children’s- and there is a way to make it a better place- it’s overwhelming the information and the perceptions- but in the end its bottom line and simple- what is best for our kids? Lets do the right thing.

What do they know - all these scholars, all these philosophers, all the leaders of the world- about such as you? They have convinced themselves that man, the worst transgressor of all the species, is the crown of creation. All other creatures were created merely to provide him with food, pelts, to be tormented, exterminated. In relation to them, all people are Nazis; for the animals it is an eternal Treblinka. — Isaac Bashevis Singer, The Letter Writer, from The Seance and Other Stories, 1980
