Abu Dhabi: The balmy Abu Dhabi weather might be perfect for that famed red bathing suit, but Baywatch star Pamela Anderson was in the capital last night on a life saving mission of a very different kind.
Here to support the Make A Wish Foundation, a charity that grants wishes to gravely-ill children, Anderson - a mother of two - told a press conference that she’s been actively involved with the cause since days when she made a living running along a Malibu beach.
“We granted a lot of wishes on Baywatch, and it’s a great opportunity to be involved with the foundation here in Abu Dhabi,” the star said, looking sweetly demure in a beige shirtdress.
On Sunday night, however, she’ll be doing all she can to raise money for the foundation - by auctioning off a private dinner with herself. The charity auction, at the Embassy Club at Emirates Palace, will also feature a performance by r’n'b singer Montell Jordan, who was by Anderson’s side yesterday and later had a kickabout at a football game in aid of the charity.
